February 23, 2005 Dear Richard and Steve, We want you both to know how happy we are with our new home on Belle Mont Trail in Conifer and how grateful we are for the whole experience in working with both of you over the past year, Richard, you were with us right from the beginning when we made our choice of the property here in Conifer. You advised us every step of the way for the feasibility of building on the property to handing us the keys to the finished product. You came up with many ideas we never would have thought of that made this truly a beautiful house. This could have been a tortuous process since we were living 900 miles away in Arizona as the house was being built, but you made it a pleasure. Steve, as the project manager we quickly became aware of your amazing attention to detail as well as your ability to reach the hundreds of decisions needed to create the great house we’re living in now. You also demonstrated incredible patience with all our questions and changes. We have lived in five new homes, but this experience was completely different from any other. April 19, 2002 During 2001, Dream Weaver Homes remodeled our home with a 2000 sq. ft. addition. This addition doubled the size of the original 1950’ house. This remodeling required all plumbing and wiring throughout the old house to be redone, and a new roof structure to cover the old house and the new addition. We are so pleased and comfortable in our new home that we wish to recommend Dream Weaver Homes. We found the personnel working for Dream Weaver Homes to be very capable and reliable. Our job superintendent, Steve Nelson, was very responsive to any question or call and was very friendly and courteous. We feel he is a family friend. The sub-contractors, also, were very considerate, polite and courteous. There was no foul language used. Any trash that accumulated was hauled away. Richard Hansen was always available and in charge. He would resolve any problem quickly. Our home is very well built, inside and out. The decks are very sturdy and attractive. Our home does not look like a “remodel.” It appears inside and out as one attractive unit. We commend Richard for his crew and subcontractors. His carpenters, finishers, plumbers and heating personnel etc. were as thoughtful and considerate as though they were family members. February 23, 2001 Dear Potential Builder, In May of 1998 my wife and I decided to remodel our small starter home. To say that it was a fixer-upper would have been an understatement. The original structure apparently was a tool shed built in the 1930’. Many additions and improvements had been done over the next 60 years resulting in a large diversity of quality and appearance. We contacted Richard Hansen of Dream Weaver Homes for construction advice and contracting on what was going to be a difficult job. February 21, 2001 To Whom It May Concern: My wife, Ruth, and I purchased a home from Richard Hansen (Dream Weaver Homes) in March of 1999. Our home is located in a small North Evergreen residential development called the Promontory at Soda Creek. We own the business shown on this letterhead. Home On The Range is a furniture showroom and interior design studio located in the Elk Bridge Center, just across the Evergreen Parkway from the Promontory. Close proximity was certainly a factor in our purchase decision, but quality, workmanship and our working relationship with the builder were equally important. Our home was about 60% completed when we he happened upon the for sale sign at the end of the driveway. Upon our first visit, it only took fifteen minutes before we knew that we’d found the right home. We loved the layout and the signature Dream Weaver features such as the large walk-in closets and spacious, airy living areas. Getting in at the 60% completion point allowed us the luxury of choosing all finishes, rock work, flooring, tile, light and plumbing fixtures. We were even able to talk Richard into making several last minute design changes to suit our “mountain casual” decorating style. Through the process, we found Richard to be fair, honest and hardworking. Bottom line, he does what he says he will do. He sweats the details, and is prompt when it comes to follow-up. We’ve owned our home for nearly two years, and I’m happy to say, we haven’t experienced any significant problems. All minor adjustments and repairs after move-in were done promptly, to our satisfaction. One intangible bonus is Richard’s sense of humor. He enjoys his job and the people he works with and for. September 1, 2000 Future Dream Weaver Customer, My wife and I decided to build a new home in 1999. After visiting many neighborhoods in the Evergreen area, my wife fell in love with the Promontory at Soda Creek. We toured several of the homes then for sale in the neighborhood, and were particularly impressed with the design of three homes under construction by Richard’s` company. I preferred the large open rooms and efficient utilization of floor space the designs incorporated. My wife loved the contemporary mountain styling and high quality of interior amenities. We decided to have Richard build our home, because no other contractors could match the style and open floor plan of Dream Weaver designs. Richard was involved in every aspect of building our home. We purchased our lot in the Promontory from him, used his architect, and even had him offer advice on the quality of finish materials. I feel the cooperation and assistance we shared resulted in the design and construction of the home we love and will live in for many years to come. Ground was broken for our foundation in late January 2000. Progress was steady and on schedule, even though we had several snowstorms in February, March, and April. On occasion subcontractors became unavailable, but Richard was always able to find top-notch replacements that completed the highest quality of work. We were fortunate we were able to stay on schedule. 2000 was the peak year in Colorado for new home construction, and sub-contractors were in extremely high demand! Richard’ diligence and dedication resulted in our home staying on schedule and on budget! We moved into our home in September, and couldn’t have been any happier with the finished product! As with any new home, we found a few (very few) items that needed to be fixed. Richard had each item replaced or repaired within a few days. We couldn’t have been happier. Our last home had punch list items, which had not been repaired nearly two years after it was built. My wife and I were extremely happy with Richard and the service he provided. The overall experience was pleasant, and not nearly as stressful as our prior home construction. If my wife and I ever build another home in Colorado, and Richard is available for the job, we will definitely use him. January 29, 1998 To Whom It May Concern: We would like to recommend Richard Hansen of Dream Weaver Homes as your homebuilder. We moved from Copper Mountain, Colorado to Evergreen in October 1996. Being in the market for a home, we were looking at approximately 50 homes and the home we settled on far exceeds anything else we viewed. Richard Hansen does a remarkable job with an eye toward quality building, i.e. foundation, construction, placement of the home on the property, and the finishing touches inside the home. Everyone who has been to our house has been very impressed with the quality seen in all areas of the home, inside and out. Richard is also excellent with his follow-up of any items needing attention. Upon our moving in, Richard called us one or two times a month to see if anything needed repair. If something did need attention, he was always here within twenty-four hours to get the job done. We have never known another homebuilder who showed such a conscience effort and pride in his work and wanting his buyer to be satisfied. We must add that there have been very few items that did need attention. As a side note, although we love our home very much, we would like to be closer to I-70 due to a commute to Copper Mountain. I can’t say enough about the way he handled both my special requests and upgrades, as well as the various subcontractors under his care. He was organized, communicative, and clearly in control throughout the project. My home was completed (including upgrades) earlier than scheduled, and to my total satisfaction. I put an offer on the home just before framing was completed. I had a list of requested upgrades and changes that I worked through with him. He was professional, courteous, and punctual throughout the following few months. I traveled extensively on business during the building period and always felt comfortable that significant progress was being made during my absence. He always seemed to secure subcontractors who could handle my special requests. And in the few cases where a subcontractor did not follow through, he always found a way to complete the task at or better than specified.
